The bottle filter only needs to be primed before the first use. Soak the filter unattached to the straw for 30 minutes in room temperature to cold water. Attach the filter to the blue wingnut at the bottom of the straw and it is ready for use.
You can unscrew the blue filter from the blue wingnut at the bottom of the straw. Please do not remove the blue wingnut from the straw - you will need this for your replacement filter.
