My filtered water doesn’t taste quite right. What can I do?Updated a day ago
We cannot guarantee a certain taste due to its subjective nature. However, our filters are high performance filters so there should be a noticeable improvement in the taste of your water.
For a new filter:
1. Confirm your filter is securely attached to the upper reservoir, so that unfiltered water is not leaking into the filtered area of the pitcher. If you notice leaking around your filter, please review filter threading tips here.
2. Soak the filter for 4 to 6 hours in cold or room temperature water, making sure it is fully submerged. Re-prime the filter using the priming bag following the extended soak.
The extra soak and prime will allow water to flush the filter and get rid of any residual taste.

For a filter that has been in use:
1. Drink filtered water within 4-5 days of filtering.
2. Refrigerate your pitcher and clean your pitcher (not filter) regularly.
3. Confirm your filter is securely attached to the upper reservoir, so that unfiltered water is not leaking into the filtered area of the pitcher. If you notice leaking around your filter, please review filter threading tips here.
A change in taste can be an indicator that the filter's lifespan has been reached. We recommend changing your filter if the taste is not longer desirable.
