We recommend allowing the filter to air dry and storing it in the refrigerator while you are on vacation. To prepare the filter for re-use upon your return, prime as you would with a new filter. 

Once a filter has been primed, the lifespan of the filter has begun. We recommend replacement after 6 months, regardless of use.
