Use the bottle in an upright position and with the mouthpiece pushed all the way back on the cap. You should feel a slight ‘click’ when it’s in the proper position. 

Tilting the bottle may cause difficulty in drawing water up through the straw, so we recommend using the bottle in an upright position only.
