With the increased Holiday shipping volume and weather-related delays across the country, many carriers (including USPS) are experiencing longer-than-normal transit times, even when everything is moving as it should.
Some packages are taking longer than usual to receive their first scan and show movement on the tracking page. When a label is created, it can take extra time for the carrier to physically pick up, scan, and update the tracking, even though the order is already in process.
